Our Focus at Connect African Development.

Thursday, October 06, 2011
Welcome again.

We are edging closer and closer to the launch date and at this time, we thought it is important to reveal the issues or the focus areas, if you will, of this Blog. We know that the list of issues we can focus on is immense, but after careful and lengthy consideration, we have decided on the following. What we hope, at least, is that the list is as broad as possible for all actors in the development arena across the continent to find an area of identify and a home to communicate with others whilst on Connect African Development - CAD.

Our list is as follows;
  1. Health
  2. Maternal and New Born Health
  3. Sexual and Reproductive Health
  4. Poverty
  5. Education
  6. Gender and Equality
  7. Youth
  8. Environment and Sustainability
  9. Climate Change
  10. Population and Demographics
  11. Entrepreneurship
  12. Employment
  13. Peace and Security
  14. Policy
  15. Economy
  16. Research
  17. Best Practices
  18. African Union
  19. United Nations
  20. Processes
We all have a lot of time before we can populate these areas. The team behind the CAD Blog look forward to many interesting article pieces and information on institutions and programs changing society on the African continent.

We would love to hear your reaction on these issues and receive any recommendations on issues that we can add or remove or both. We will be broadening our focus depending on the feedback we receive and more content generated for the Blog.

Regards.

Editorial Team.
